interview with ohboy magazine (continued)

Unfortunately, we have no translation "but it looks good" as the Italians would say.
visit to south korea

We spent a few days in Seoul in November, visiting some of the DR DENIM retailers and doing a brief interview with OhBoy Magazine run by photographer Kim HyeonSeong, plus enjoying some local food and drinks. OhBoy is a great magazine - beautifully photographed and laid out. Kim writes all the material himself and distributes the magazine through select shops and other key locations.
Culinary tip of the day
If you're looking for excellent coffee, visit Bar Piccolino on Lasarettsgatan in Göteborg. It's a no-fancy-stuff genuine italian coffee bar. Very cosy, very personal service. All good.
Hello weekend
We're back from a few days in Paris and are doing a lot of catching-up, including frenetically entering orders into our system. Today's our official order deadline for the autumn and tomorrow we'll start placing production orders, possibly followed by a well-deserved glass of wine or two of some well-balanced French variety.

Having some Sencha tea - a Japanese tea made without grinding the leaves which has a rather strong flavour and should ideally be brewed at a temperature of 80C degrees with a concentration of roughly 1.5 tablespoons per litre. The flavour is somewhat vegetal and grassy.

Third year of carbon neutrality
For the third consecutive year, we have off-set all CO2 emissions from all in-bound and out-bound shipments of goods through our cooperation with Carbonfund.org. Our jeans and everything else in our collection is entirely carbon neutral, meaning that, on our behalf, Carbonfund.org remove an amount of CO2 from the atmosphere which is equivalent to our emissions. Carbonfund.org is a non-profit organisation which uses contributions from its partners for the following projects, among other things:
- Reforesting 1,870 acres in Louisiana, while protecting the Louisiana Black Bear
- Conserving over 3,000 acres of Amazon Rainforest in Brazil
- Supporting wind energy in Texas, Iowa, Montana and Pennsylvania, and solar in California
- Building truck stop electrification projects that reduce tailpipe emissions across the USA
Our environmental work also includes using electricity for our office from Telge Energi, a Swedish company supplying energy from wind and other renewable sources only.
